Setup the internet on Microsoft Windows XP.

1. Put the OPEN NETWORKS USER GUIDES CD into your CD drive.

2. If you see this screen, click the Close button.

Open Networks User Guide CD's autorun screen.

3. Plug the modem POWER/9V DC power socket into the building's power socket.

Power cable plugged into the wall power socket and the iConnect 622's POWER/9V DC socket.

4. Plug the modem USB socket into the computer USB socket.

USB cable plugged into any of the computer's USB sockets and the iConnect 622's USB socket.

5. If you have a phone handset or fax machine on the same phone line as your ADSL, you need a double adapter and an ADSL line filter:

a. Plug the modem DSL socket into the double adapter.

b. Plug the phone's (or fax machine's) line socket into the PHONE end of the filter.

c. Plug the filter ADSL socket into the double adapter.

d. Plug the double adapter into the building's phone line socket.

Double adapter's LINE cable plugged into the wall phone line socket; a phone line cable plugged into the iConnect 622's DSL socket and into the double adapter's ADSL socket; another phone line cable plugged into the adapter's PHONE socket and into the phone or fax machine.

6. Click Install the software automatically.

7. Click Next.

8. Click Finish.

Install finished window.

9. Click Start.

10. Click Internet.

11. Type 192.168.1.254 into the Address box.

12. Click Go.

13. Type root into the User Name box.

14. Type the password provided with your modem into the Password box.

15. Click Log In.

16. Click Setup [1].

17. Click New Connection [2].

18. Click PPPoA in the Type box [3].

iConnect 622 New Connection.

19. Type Australia On Line into the Name box [1].

20. Type your Australia On Line ADSL username into the Username box [2].

21. Type your Australia On Line ADSL password into the Password box [3].

22. Type 8 into the VPI box [4].

23. Type 35 into the VCI box [5].

iConnect 622 New Connection.

24. Scroll down until you can see the Apply button.

25. Click Apply.

26. Click Connect.

27. Click Save/Restart Menu.

iConnect 622 New Connection.

28. Click Save All.

iConnect 622 New Connection.

29. Click OK.

Confirm.

30. You are now connected to the internet!
